Manchester United played the first home game of the season and the atmosphere was scintillating. This also marked return of Pogba in a United shirt.

Zlatan was the only goal scorer of the match scoring on either side of the half time.

He scored a header at the back post of a superb cross of Rooney to open the scoring. Zlatan scored from the spot kick to double the lead. The spot kick was won by Luke Shaw who was good throughout the match.

Two games, two wins. Overall a good start to the season.

Bournemouth 1 – 3 Manchester United

Jose Mourinho made a Winning start to his Manchester United managerial career with goals coming from Mata, Rooney and Zlatan.

Juan Mata opened the scoring following a Simon Francis error.Wayne Rooney scored a header from a mis-hit shot into the ground from Anthony Martial.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic drilled a long-range strike from 25 yards on his premier league debut, having previously scored in all his Serie A, La Liga, Ligue 1 and the Champions League debuts.

A consolation goal came from the defender Adam Smith for Bournemouth.

It was good to see Eric Bailly really strong at the back, given the fact he was unable to train whole week due to injury as mentioned by mourinho in his post-match interview. He deservedly won the premier league man of the match.

This Result puts us on the top of the table. 3 goals, 3 points, couldn’t have asked for anything more from the opening fixture.
